Social Media Specialist (Austin Office)
We’re looking for an awesome new addition to our agency… The Social Media Specialist will work alongside the Creative and Strategy teams to execute daily social media campaigns. This will include community management (listening), engagement, monitoring, maintenance, and escalation, where necessary.
This person should be comfortable conducting research (in partnership with the team) to identify trends and best practices. The specialist will also be asked to identify brand and topic influencers for us to engage with.
Manage social media presence for internal and client purposes across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, etc
Work within the social media and editorial calendars to ensure proper copy and creative are being deployed.
Develop campaigns and content that encourages user generated content — this means actively engaging with communities and encouraging conversation.
Foster community by responding and engaging with users in a timely, natural and authentic fashion.
Escalate issues as needed.
Monitor and track discussion topics, including weekly reports to update all on key metrics.
Proactively keep the team up-to-speed on other online conversation about the brand/ category (news stories and other blogs/ forum) to bring forward opportunities to post timely content.
Seek out and bring forward influencers/ bloggers for campaigns and outreach.
1+ year of relevant experience (digital, advertising, PR or other marketing background preferred).
Gotta know the social media channels (and have active accounts).
Know how to write — and have experience with creative copywriting.
Must have a strong passion for social media.
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are key!
Detail oriented and a stickler for deadlines
Plays well with the rest of team!
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
