Royal Caribbean Social Media Strategy
In 2009, Royal Caribbean launched the biggest ship in the world, Oasis of the Seas, and wanted it to be a big deal; so they asked us to come up with an idea that would create word of mouth and excitement with cruise junkies and cruise newbies. So, we developed the “Send Your Friend on Oasis of the Seas” app. This application enabled users to send a special invitation to their Facebook friends who deserved a much-needed vacation. The social media strategy gave these special guests a virtual vacation on Oasis, building excitement and introducing people to the latest and greatest.
